PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Dear School Community,

We are almost in the middle of the final term of this year. We have started the term with face-to-face teaching and learning, and it has been great to meet our students. I would like to share the following with you.

We are still receiving New Enrolments for 2021. I would like to thank our school parents and the wider community for their continuous support. If you know anyone who is interested to learn about our school, please share our school contact details with them. I also wanted to remind you that Foundation Transition will take place on two days, that is, on the 18th and 25th November from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. We are looking forward to meeting our new Foundation students. We are also going to arrange an Induction session for our new parents on November 26th at 6 p.m. via Zoom. We will share the Zoom link closer to the date.

We had our annual Athletics Day on October 28th. I would like to thank all the students and staff. Overall, it was a great, fun day with lots of sporting activities.

The soccer season is over. We formed four teams and each team played for about 10 matches during the short season due to the pandemic. I would like to congratulate all the players, parents and our wonderful coaches, Mr Saleem Shaikh, Mr Ali Almosawy and Mr Imran Syed for their fantastic work throughout the season.

We organised our annual Book Fair with Scholastic, ending this week. The aim is to make the students read a variety of books of their choice. I would like to thank everyone involved for their contribution to the Book Fair. I hope the students who purchased books are enjoying reading them.

It has been a challenging year for all of us. The students missed many excursions and camps due to the pandemic. Since the restrictions have recently eased, we’ve decided to arrange a camp for Year 3s and above students. Year 3s to Year 6s students will go to Billabong Ranch Camp in Echuca on November 16th and return the next day. I am sure it will be a great camp with lots of fun.

Due to the current restrictions, Year 6’s Graduation Ceremony and the Awards Ceremony will be in a different format this year. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to invite any parents to those events. We will inform you about the details of each program soon.

As the term ends soon, I urge all students to work hard for their final assessments. I believe there is no substitution for hard work and students who do so, will be successful sooner or later in their lives.

Today is World Teachers’ Day. Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank teachers and staff members at our campus and all the teachers around the world for their dedication and enthusiasm in their profession. Teachers are working hard to raise generations of students so that they will in time, make this world a better place for us all to live in.

Yours faithfully,
Mr. Adem Engin
Principal
